We started off with some neighbors coming over around 5:30 for an hour of socializing and food. Just before kick-off, I moved the munchies from the island in the kitchen to the coffee table in the family room - right in front of the TV. For the first half, it seemed as though the Steelers had it in the bag. During halftime, everyone headed home to get their kids in bed, Chris and I did some quick clean up, then settled down for the second half.
And then the stress began! The Steelers were ahead, then the Cardinals score but are still behind, then they score again and are up by 3 points with only 3-ish minutes in the game! AAAGGHH!!! Steelers have the ball, moving it down field, less than a minute on the clock. OMG, Santonio Holmes makes an incredible catch in the end zone to put the Steelers in the lead by 4 pts with about 30 seconds left in the game! The Cardinals start moving the ball down the field, making me nervous, but then a turnover put the ball back in the Steeler's possession with only a few seconds on the clock for a Steelers victory! Holy heck, talk about a roller coaster ride! Wow. It was a good game, but a little too close for my comfort. I'm just so glad the Steelers won!
Here's a picture of us earlier in the day just after church (yes, we wore our Steelers shirts to church in Patriots territory!). Francesca wasn't cooperating, but what else is new?
GO STEELERS!!!!
