Valentine's Day Dance

Today was the big Valentine's Day dance for Francesca's school. It was so adorable! The parents' association rented out a hall, decorated, and hired a DJ, plus there was a bake sale and crafts for the kids to do. All of the preschool and Kindergarten kids dressed up in their finest Valentine's Day outfits and came to party the afternoon away!

Here are the kid shortly after arriving - having some fun on the dance floor with all of the balloons:

There was a photo op spot complete with a white "throne" to sit on, so we took the opportunity to get a family photo. I think it's the first year that Francesca wasn't whining and refusing to look at the camera during the Valentine's Day photo!

At one point, the DJ brought out hula hoops for a hula hooping contest. Chris and I were totally amazed at Dominic! He went from zero to hero in hula hooping and we have no idea how! He was even twirling two hoops at once! His friend, Paige, was REALLY good, but he was holding his own pretty well - probably the second best "hooper" in the crowd of kids.

I'm really going to miss Francesca's school next year when she goes off to public school with Dominic. They do such fun things for the children - Pumpkinfest, Valentine's Day dance, Field Day (a HUGE event), enrichment programs, etc. It's just not the same for Dominic this year at Millbury public. Plus I'm going to miss the teachers at Country Montessori - they are so great and really nice. I know I'll be crying the last day of school this year.
